The GATE Foundation raises $270,000 to benefit Child Cancer Fund

The GATE Foundation, the philanthropic
affiliate of GATE Petroleum Company, raised $270,000 to benefit Child Cancer Fund at its annual charity golf tournament. Monies were raised through fundraising activities at a dinner event as well as sponsorships and registrations for the nearly 400-player golf tournament. The two-day event was held in September at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club.

GATE STORES RAISE $20,000 FOR CHILDREN’S MIRACLE NETWORK HOSPITALS

The GATE Foundation, the philanthropic branch of Jacksonville- based organization, GATE Petroleum Company, raised $20,000 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH). The funds were raised in GATE convenience stores across Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina through the company’s semi-annual paper icon campaign. Between May 1 and May 21, customers could donate $1.00 and sign their name on a CMNH paper icon for display in GATE stores. Funds were allocated to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals throughout the states where the funds were raised.

THE GATE FOUNDATION RAISES $50,000 FOR AMERICAN LUNG ASSOCIATION

The GATE Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Jacksonville-based GATE Petroleum Company, and GATE customers raised $50,000 for the American Lung Association. Funds were collected July 1 – December 31, 2023 in coin boxes located at the registers of all GATE locations in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Funding will be allocated to the respective Lung Association organizations in the communities where collected.

THE GATE FOUNDATION RAISE $48,000 FOR COMMUNITY HOSPICES

The GATE Foundation and GATE customers raised $48,000 for The Foundation of Community Hospice & Palliative Care, Heart of Hospice, Hospice of Savannah and Hospice & Palliative Care. Funds were collected January 1 – June 30, 2023 in coin boxes at the registers of all GATE locations in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Funding will be allocated to the respective Community Hospice organizations in the communities where collected.

GATE STORES, FOUNDATION RAISE $35,000 FOR THE AMERICAN RED CROSS

GATE Petroleum Company, and GATE customers raised $35,000 for the American Red Cross. Funds were raised in GATE convenience stores in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina through the company’s semi-annual paper icon campaign. From April 1-21, customers could donate $1.00 and sign their named on a paper icon displayed in the GATE store. Funds were allocated to the respective Red Cross organizations in the communities where collected.

GATE Raises $40,000 to support Down Syndrome Awareness Month

GATE customers raised $40,000 in support of Down Syndrome Awareness Month. Funds were raised in GATE convenience stores in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina through the company’s “Buddy for a Buck” paper icon campaign. From October 1 – 21, customers could donate $1.00 and sign their name on a paper icon displayed in the GATE store. Customers could also donate by rounding up their purchase to the nearest dollar. Funds were allocated to local Down Syndrome Associations in the communities where collected.

GATE Stores raise $45,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities

The GATE Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Jacksonville-based GATE Petroleum Company, and GATE customers raised $45,000 for Ronald McDonald House (RMH) Charities. Funds were raised January 1, 2021 through June 30, 2021 as part of GATE’s coin box campaign and charity round-up option. Coin collection boxes were placed at the registers of all GATE stores across Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina to collect donations. Customers could also choose to round-up their transaction totals to the nearest dollar, with the difference going towards the RMH Charities donation. Funds will be distributed to the RMH Charity closest to where they were raised.

GATE Coin Box, Charity Round-Up Campaign Raises $55,000 for PAL

GATE Petroleum and their customers proudly raised $55,000 for the Police Athletic League (PAL) of Jacksonville through a six month coin box and round-up campaign.  Customers could drop their coins in boxes placed at registers or choose to round up their in-store transaction to the nearest dollar with the difference going to PAL.

GATE Stores Raise $65,000 for American Cancer Society

In Nov, 2021 Gate presented the American Cancer Society with a $65,000 donation to support breast cancer research and awareness.  Funds were raised in GATE stores across FL, GA, NC and SC as part of GATE’s pink ribbon paper icon campaign.  Customers either donated $1 and signed their name to a pink ribbon paper icon or rounded their purchase to the nearest dollar donating the difference to ACS.

GATE 25th Annual Charity Golf Tournament Raises $170,000 for Firefighters for Families, Inc.

In October, GATE proudly presented a $170,000 donation to Firefighters for Families of St. John’s County.  Funds were raised during the GATE Foundation’s 25th Annual Charity Golf Tournament held at Ponte Vedra Inn and Club.  Firefighters for Families supports families in need who reside in St. John’s County, Florida which include promoting school readiness and attendance.

GATE Stores Raise $40,000 for ALS Association

GATE convenience stores in FL, GA, NC, and SC raised $40,000 for ALS through the company’s paper icon campaign.  In May, customers could either donate $1 and sign their name on a paper icon displayed at the store, or round up their purchase to the nearest dollar.  Funds were allocated to local ALS chapters throughout the regions where the funds were raised.

GATE COIN BOX, CHARITY ROUND-UP CAMPAIGN RAISES $80,000 FOR TOM COUGHLIN JAY FUND

GATE customers raised $80,000 for the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund. Supporting the Jay Fund was special to GATE store manager Brittany Lee. Her daughter, Rylie, battled cancer and their family received support from the Jay Fund during her treatment.  Brittany and Rylie were able to attend the check presentation with Coach Coughlin and staff members from GATE and the Jay Fund.

GATE COIN BOX CAMPAIGN RAISES $45,000 FOR ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION

GATE customers raised $45,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association. Coin collection boxes with a description of the Alzheimer’s Association were placed at the registers of all GATE to collect donations from customers.  “We are so thankful to our generous customers, who have stepped up despite all the challenges of this year, to make this fundraising campaign a success,” said Kathy Brady, executive director of the GATE Foundation. All funds are allocated to the chapter nearest to where they were collected.

 

GATE Marks 60th Anniversary with $60,000 Donation to Boys & Girls Club of Northeast Florida

GATE Petroleum Company is celebrating its 60th anniversary and marking the occasion with a $60,000 donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Northeast Florida from The GATE Foundation.  The GATE Foundation also used the 60th anniversary donation as an opportunity to raise matching funds from its vendors and business partners. The Foundation typically hosts its annual charity golf tournament in the fall, where supporters raise money for a selected charity. However, COVID-19 restrictions put a halt to the 2020 event.

GATE STORES, CUSTOMERS RAISE $80,000 FOR AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY’S FIGHT AGAINST BREAST CANCER

GATE Customers along with The Gate Foundation donated $80,000 to the American Cancer Society (ACS) to support breast cancer research and awareness.  Funds were raised in GATE stores across Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina as part of the company’s pink ribbon paper icon campaign.

National Brain Tumor Society Coin Box Campaign

The GATE Foundation recently raised $55,000 by placing coin boxes at registers to collect donations for the National Brain Tumor Society.  Customers who dropped their spare change into these boxes provided support and resources to families battling brain tumors.  This was especially meaningful to GATE employee, Bryan Cake, whose 13 year-old son (Logan) is a brain tumor survivor

GATE Stores donate $50,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters

June 3, 2020. Funds were raised at GATE’s convenience stores across, Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas as part of a semi-annual paper icon campaign. Customers had the opportunity to donate $1 and sign their name to a BBBS paper icon displayed at the stores.  Funds were allocated throughout the regions GATE stores are located.

Flagler Health+ Announces Plans for Durbin Park

Flagler Health+ announced today that it has entered into an agreement with GATE Lands, the real estate subsidiary of GATE Petroleum Company, to purchase 40 acres within the company’s Durbin Park development. Phase one of this project will introduce a Flagler Health+ Village that incorporates family practice, women’s care, pediatrics, urgent care, imaging and laboratory services.
